You can refund Steam games you bought for yourself as well as those you bought as a gift. A step-by-step guide to refunding any gifted games on Steam follows.

How to Get a Refund for a Gifted Game

Refunding any game on Steam is simple, but refunding gifts is a little more difficult. The general Steam refund policy states that you can only refund a game if you have played it for less than two hours within 14 days of purchase.

The same is true for gifted games; however, the person who received them must initiate the refund process. The following is what the recipient must do:
