A Pokemon player says that Scarlet and Violet trainers who want to finish their Pokedex should get Persian as their “ideal partner.”

A Pokemon enthusiast suggests using a Persian to complete the Scarlet and Violet Pokedex. Completing the Pokedex in any given Pokemon game is difficult. It requires a great deal of time, effort, and luck. Any advantage that makes capturing Pokemon easier for a Pokemon trainer is welcome. Regarding Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, Persian could provide the advantage that players seek.
As Pokemon fans are well aware, capturing Pokemon is an art. It is not simply a matter of having the proper Poke Ball, although that helps. The ability to incapacitate wild Pokemon with status effects like Sleep or Paralysis is crucial. A major priority is also lowering a Pokemon’s HP without knocking them out, which is made more difficult by leveling up Pokemon so that most of their abilities will knock out in a single hit.
Reddit user Rtrohde says that Persian is the best way to fix all of these problems in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. If the objective is to complete the Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Pokedex, they begin their post by advising players, “Get a Persian, overlevel it, and go catch ’em all.” Rtrohde says that Persian has “almost” all of the best moves for catching Pokemon and getting more of them. False Swipe, Hypnosis, Thunder Wave, Taunt, and Rest are among these moves.
However, Persian’s suitability is not based solely on an optimal selection of Pokemon abilities. Rtrohde also mentions that Persian’s Normal typing grants his False Swipe a 50% damage bonus due to STAB (Same-type attack bonus). In addition, the Technician ability can grant False Swipe an additional 50% multiplier. Persian also possesses a high Speed, allowing it to apply status effects before being attacked, and its Normal type makes it resistant to all types except Fighting.
Obviously, there is much more to creating the ideal Persian for capturing Pokemon. Hypnosis, for instance, is an egg move that can only be taught to Persian using picnics and the Mirror Herb. Investing in the leveling up of a Persian for the sole purpose of catching high-level Pokemon is a task few are willing to undertake. For dedicated Pokemon trainers, however, Persian is an excellent alternative.
In Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, throwing Quick Balls is simple and quick for Pokemon fans seeking a simpler solution. If the Quick Ball fails, simply escape the battle and try again. And if that is not possible, play normally with the Pokemon already captured. Occasionally, playing normally is the most enjoyable way to have fun. Having a cute Persian wouldn’t hurt, however.
