Nintendo gave fans an abundance of Switch games that were nominated for Game Awards 2022.
The Game Awards is an event designed to highlight the best games of the year, allowing them to shine in the spotlight and crowning one as Game of the Year. On December 8, 2022, the Game Awards 2022 will be held, where games from all gaming genres will receive the recognition they deserve. The nominees for all Game Awards categories are now available, and fans can begin voting if they want their favorite to win. Despite the fact that Nintendo does not appear to be in the lead this year, it has received a respectable eleven nominations at the Game Awards 2022, with Xenoblade Chronicles 3 representing the company.

Fans will recall that Breath of the Wild won the Game of the Year award at the Game Awards in 2017, and Tears of the Kingdom has been nominated for the Most Anticipated Game award at the Game Awards 2022.
Nintendo Switch Video Game
Nintendo Switch Sports is a collection of family- and friend-friendly sports games. Six sports are available to players, including soccer, volleyball, bowling, badminton, tennis, and chambara. A seventh Golf sport will also be added in the near future. Utilizing the motion sensors of the Joycons, the game provides enjoyable and engaging gameplay experiences.
To play the game, players must move around while holding their Joycons. Up to four players can engage in a single match and compete for victory, making this game the ideal way to enjoy some time with family and friends. Nintendo Switch Sports has been nominated for the Game Award 2022 for Best Family Game.
Mario+Rabbits Ignites Hope
Sparks of Hope is a tactical action-adventure game that combines the intellectual properties of Nintendo’s Mario and Ubisoft’s Rabbids. This exclusive Nintendo Switch game was developed and published by Ubisoft as a sequel to 2017’s Mario+Rabbit Kingdom Battle.
Join Mario, Luigi, and an array of other colorful characters as they embark on a galactic journey to rescue the Sparks from an evil entity. This game employs a well-designed strategic turn-based progression system. The Game Awards 2022 have nominated Mario+Rabbids Sparks of Hope in two categories: Best Family Game and Best Simulation/Strategy Game.
Pokemon Legends Arceus
Pokemon Legends Arceus is the first game in the franchise to feature an open world in which players can explore and capture Pokemon. Legends Arceus is an adventure and role-playing game set in an ancient region of Sinnoh in which everything fans previously knew about the area has been altered.
Even though Legends Arceus is not a mainline entry in the series, it is still praised for advancing the franchise into the open-world medium. It takes a different approach to the Pokemon formula, but retains the series’ charm and enjoyment. Pokemon Legends Arceus has been nominated for the Game Awards 2022’s Best Role-Playing Game award.
Bayonetta 3
Bayonetta 3 is an action-adventure video game developed exclusively for the Nintendo Switch by Platinum Games. It is the third installment in the Bayonetta series. Bayonetta returns alongside Viola, another witch-in-training, to battle angels using demonic pacts.
The plot of this game is more expansive than ever before, and the gameplay has also been improved. End of October saw the release of Bayonetta 3, which has already climbed the popularity charts. It has been nominated for Best Action Game at the 2022 Game Awards.
Kirby And The Disappeared Land
The pink blob returns in Kirby and the Forgotten Land for yet another zany adventure. Kirby and the Forgotten Land, a 3D platformer created by HAL Laboratory, has become the best-selling Kirby game to date. It is the thirteenth mainline entry in the series and the first to utilize full 3D graphics.
The player controls Kirby as he traverses a mysterious, forgotten land known as the New World in order to rescue the Waddle Dees from the menacing Beast Pack. Kirby has always been recognized for its affability and family-friendly nature, and as a result, it has been nominated for Best Family Game at the Game Awards 2022.
Splatoon
The Splatoon series returns with a new entry that redefines the competitive multiplayer genre. Splatoon 3 is a third-person shooter developed by Nintendo for the Switch that features both a story-driven single-player campaign mode and an awesome multiplayer mode.
While the single-player campaign is excellent, the Splatoon series is best known for its multiplayer mayhem. The events of Splatoon 3 take place five years after Splatoon 2, with Inklings and Octolings once again battling for supremacy. Splatoon 3 has been nominated for two awards at the Game Awards 2022, including Best Multiplayer Game and Best Family Game.
Xenoblade Chronicles 3
Monolith Soft’s action role-playing game Xenoblade Chronicles 3 for the Nintendo Switch has been the most popular game for Switch fans this year. Xenoblade Chronicles 3 is the third main installment in the Xenoblade Chronicles Saga and features a substantial plot. Return to the world of Aionios and observe the unfolding of the conflict between Colony 9 of Keves and Colony Sigma of Agnus.
Xenoblade Chronicles 3 has vastly surpassed its predecessors in terms of both quality and quantity. It is the most nominated Nintendo game at the Game Awards 2022, with a total of three nominations. The nominations for Xenoblade Chronicles 3 include Game of the Year, Best Role-Playing Game, and Best Score and Music.
